Chapter 1
The national academy of Design is a rotten old institution supported and controlled by lovers of art and by artists whose principal skill consists in uncorking champagne bottles and riding home on window shutters. Who are jolly good fellows in fact, but who desire to create just as few artists as possible. There is a fund however which they are bound to spend for the school. 

The school consists of two branches
