Dear Ed

Your letter containing draft for 1535 60/100 Francs arrived to day. Effie signed for it and she said the postman asked her if she would not cut the stamp off of it for him. Three people seem to be great stamp collectors and the new stamps of the U.S. are in great demand. This letter being registered did not pass through the hands of the concierge. She usually takes the stamps off our papers.
