Dear Ed

Your last letter came to hand all right. And this, being sunday, will be a good time to answer it. I have not been going to the school for the past two weeks. But in spite of the extra time there is always some little affair to attend to. However we are always too glad to get letters from home to neglect answering them very long.

This morning Effie got Edi's letter which had several very interesting points in it, one of which was that you were about to set up a female type-writer.

The last news we had from Wheeling was that Mr. Janey was contemplating a consulship to Berlin.
