SHOT GUN HOMES

At Toyota - with Marvin in the Parts Department. I was showing him the latest "travel" booklet with the two newly discovered saddle bag houses (he didn't know what a saddle bag was) and, while showing him the dog-trot photo - he asked - "What's a dog-trot?" When I explained - he lit up and said "I lived in that! My parents lived on the right side - there was an open space in the middle and the rest of the rooms were on the other side of the open space." I asked where it was and if it was still standing - Yes, and people are living in it. I was familiar with some of the area. The last time he saw it, the middle had been covered over and extra rooms added. I'll try to find it, anyway. It's somewhere near Hull, Georgia (not far from here)
