of outlay - with the possibility of no sales - + you were not very hopeful on this count - + as contrary to what most people seem to think we live on Marston’s salary - I reluctantly gave up the idea of another show in your gallery - but it did trouble me + make me sad - Anyhow I don’t have the time or heart to paint now - but probably shall paint when Marston is quite better -
