My dear Harry

Your cable with the very sad news of Josephines' death has just reached us. I had a just been to the telegraph office to send you a few words of sympathy. 

I am so overcome by this sad news that I do not know what to say to express my sorrow and sympathy. I can hardly make myself believe the truth of it. It is an awful sad blow for you
