You must excuse this long letter but I thought some discription of my experience in Chicago might interest you. I believe I wrote you of my talks with Mr French but I learnt later that he has not the power to decide upon the school matter in the Institute. The first teachers in the school have something to say about that and the President of the Art Institute. It seems that the teachers are anxious that I should come in if only for a couple of months and I told them that I should like to so I am now waiting for a proposition from the Institute which they must make and what they are going to pay.
