Mr. Arthur Lyman
Paris.

Lizzie

Florence March 1st 1856.

My dear Arthur,

I was very much pleased with your nice letter so I thought I would answer it as soon as I could. I was quite proud of your saying I was a charming little girl for I have never had it said said to me before in my life. The bells are ringing very hard to day but I don't know what for. I wish you had stayed here longer we should have had such a good time together and I don't see why you can't come back again and no matter about the french.

When you write to aunt tppleton tell her that I will write to her as soon as papa writes
