Please get for him either in America or England some of those linen picture books that do not tear - the whole thing printed on linen. He is very fond of pictures but destroys every thing tearable. You will also remember the porringer. I quite depend on that.

Aug. 30th - Yours of Aug. 15th sent up by Frank- There is no special thing to answer in it, so I will write more next time & enclose instead another letter from Spranger. Fortunately all is well with Connie. I am so sorry about your jaundice
