Dear Beatrice:

Have a wonderful time in Japan. I realize I may be reaching you just as you're about to leave to return home, and I know that you're going to love being in California in the springtime.

About the show with the Smithsonian: As far as I can be assured, it is a real thing, a firm proposal. However, the timing is indefinite. Mrs. Pope will undoubtedly come to California to see your things and will likewise see mine. She knows both of our work but how it will combine into a show will be her problem, and I can assure you she is famous for her presentations. They are both ingenious and beautiful.

Do have a wonderful trip home, and I'll look forward to hearing all about it.

Best always,

Dorothy Liebes
