description of it:

"A beautiful and impressive wedding ceremony took place in the Third Street Methodist Church Saturday evening. The vows of matrimony were taken by Miss Bess Calderwood, the accomplished daughter of Mrs. Calderwood of this city, and Professor Frederick L. Wright. Nearly the entire auditorium was filled with guests.

The bride entered, leaning on the arm of her brother, Mr. George Calderwood. She was gowned in white organdie and cream lace with orange blossoms. She carried white carnations."

In their wedding photograph, Mother looks frail and delicate. She was barely five feet tall. She had light brown hair and blue eyes. Even on that solemn occasion, there were traces of her mischievous disposition and the camera caught it. Father towers over her, lean as a whippet, carrying himself very straight, with his shoulders thrown back. His curly blond hair is parted on the side and he wears a close-trimmed beard. He resembles a youthful Charles Evans Hughes.
