Meanwhile, along with these personal losses, I suffered a serious setback, professionally. Out of the blue, a larger firm bought out Goodall-Sanford, out of the blue I lost my largest account. It had been necessary all along to plough back into the studio a part of the consultant's fee from Goodall to keep the looms busy in the studio. Yo [[To]] be sure, I had a number of less remunerative accounts, Dobeckmun Co. which made lurex, the metal thread Colmbia [[Columbia]] Mills, for whom I was designing blinds, screens and room dividers, Jantzen Inc. for knitware, Collins & Aikman for automotive fabrics., etc. We could keep busy in the studio with these accounts but I needed one large one to replace the lost revenue from Goodall.
