Neck Path Road
Amagansett, New York

Dear Mr. Brooks:

We have invited you to participate in ARTIST SELECT, the Initial Exhibition of the Contemporary Study Wing of the Finch College Museum, the opening of which will BENEFIT the ARTISTS TENANTS ASSOCIATION. We wish to present an outstanding selection of works representing the spectrum of Contemporary Art by showing concurrently works by prominent artists and a young artist chosen by each, not widely recognized but who shows great promise.

We will be interested to learn your selection of a young, vital, and dedicated artist. It may be one who as of yet has not had a one man show in New York, but in whose work you believe. Since we wish to start the Catalogue soon, your reply is essential.

The generosity of many important artists who have donated paintings and sculpture for our permanent collection, some taking a 1964 tax deduction and others a 1964/1968 deduction, is greatly appreciated. Martha Jackson and the New York Arts Calendar have each given gifts for the Study Area consisting of catalogues, photographs of artists work etc. for which we are very grateful.

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Borgzinner have invited me to spend a few days next week in East Hampton at their home on Jericho Lane. I hope you will allow me the privilege of meeting you and visiting your studio to discuss the coming exhibition.

Cordially,
FINCH COLLEGE MUSEUM
