Museum of Fine Arts
Boston, MA., 02115

Dear Mr. Rueppel:

We are planning to hold a major exhibition of works by JAMES BROOKS, from April 29th through June 15th, 1975.

Mrs. Varian, in cooperation with Br. Brooks and the Martha Jackson Gallery, will select about 80 important pieces: oil, works on paper, and his less well-known graphics. A catalog will be published.

Among the important paintings chosen is your "Kasp", 1971. if you agree to lend, loan forms will be sent to you.

The exhibition will be shown at the Galleries of Cranbrook Academy in September, 1975, and perhaps two other institutions will wish to participate. Should you be interested in it for Boston please let us know your wishes as soon as possible.

Thank you, and please contact us if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Robert H. Luck, Curator
