Dear Don:

In accordance with your letter of March 20th, we would like to tell you that we have scheduled the GORKY DRAWINGS Exhibition for Jan. 20 - Mar. 15, 1976. Will you please confirm our dates if they are satisfactory?

In connection with the Gorky Exhibition, do not forget that John Peterson at the Cranbrook Academy Museum of Art, and Jesse Wright at the Canton Art Institute, Canton, Ohio, would like to book the show also. Please write to them regarding availability.

When we last spoke you were interested in both GRAFIC OGGI from Rome, opening here on September 24th, this year, and ART DECO ARCHITECTURE, scheduled here for Nov. 6 - Jan. 5, 1975. The latter will be shown at Cranbrook immediately following its closing here.

We are now planning a major retrospective of JAMES BROOKS in coordination with The Martha Jackson Gallery. Our dates are: Apr. 29 - June 15, 1975. Would you be interested in it for the summer? John Peterson will have it in September.

I have heard nothing from your "Art Deco Architecture types", but thank you for your suggestions about "Artists at Work" which we must control carefully in its shipping arrangements.

I am leaving for Florida on June 13th. Will you please write to me before then? Best wishes.

Cordially yours,
Elayne Varian
