CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE RECEIPT OF LOANS

1. Objects lent to The Finch College Museum of Art for exhibition shall remain in its possession for the time specified on the face of this recipt [[receipt]], plus a resonable [[reasonable]] time required for receiving or returning the work to the lender, but may be withdrawn from exhibition at any time by the Director. Loans will be returned only to the owner or lender or his or her duly authorized agent or representative.

2. Under the terms of this agreement, The Finch Museum of Art will exercise every possible care in the safekeeping of the loan while in possession of Finch College.

3. The Museum would be grateful if the lender continues his own insurance for the loan. The Museum, however, will not accept responsibility for any errors or deficiencies in information furnished to the lender's insurers, or for lapses in insurance coverage, arising from this practice.

4. At the request of the lender, however, objects lent to The Finch College Museum of Art will be insured by the Museum under a fine arts policy against all ordinary risks both in transit and while in its possession. The Museum will insure invited loans at the valuation requested by the lender, which request must be in writing; when written notice of valuation is not given, the Museum will insure invited loans at its own estimated valuation.
