PRATT INSTITUTE THE ART SCHOOL BROOKLYN 5 NEW YORK July 10, 1961 Dear Mr. Rauschenberg, Would you be interested in speaking on a panel devoted to the "Intellectual Education of an Artist" at the College Art Meeting, about Sept 13-15? Harold Rosenberg, Balcombe Greene, and Wilhelmus Bryan (director of the Minneapolis Art School) are the other speakers. I know of your interest in literature, and then, too, your work and ideas provide a foil to Greene, who would be the other artist on the program. Enclosed is a postcard for a quick answer, or you can call me evenings at MA 2-4764. I do hope that you will agree! Sincerely, George M. Neil answered negatively but kindly 7/20/61
