Gentlemen:

We are organizing a major exhibition on Stravinsky and the Dance which will honor him next Spring at the time of his eightieth birthday. We plan to show costume and scenery designs for Stravinsky ballets, as well as portraits of the Maestro and his colleagues by leading artists of his time.

Our records show that Robert Rauschenberg did designs for a ballet (1961) "The Least Flycatcher" with choreography by Paul Taylor, using Stravinsky's music, "Piano-Rag". Can you give me any information about these designs, and are there any photographs available? If so, we we would like very much to consider them for the exhibition, and also to have information for the catalogue which the Library is publishing.

Will you be good enough to reply to my home address, 149 East 73rd Street. I will greatly appreciate any information you can give me.

Sincerely yours,
Marjorie S Graff
