Dear Mr. Castelli:

We are returning herewith the three drawings by Norman Bluhm and three drawings by Robert Rauschenberg which you so kindly lent to the Department of Circulating Exhibitions for study purposes in 1960 in connection with research Porter McCray and James Schuyler were conducting toward proposed exhibitions of drawings and watercolors. We think this completes the return of all drawings which we borrowed from you at that time, but would appreciate it if you would check your records and specifically confirm this fact on the delivery receipt.

Your patience in allowing the Museum to keep these works so long is greatly appreciated.

We hope that you have now received a copy of the catalogue MODERN AMERICAN DRAWINGS, which is soon opening in Athens.

Sincerely yours,
Elaine Johnson
