I have become aware of the increasing mass destruction of the natural environment's ability to purify itself and at the same time the alarming rate at which we design machinery to pollute our planet. Machinery such as the S.S.T., Boeing 747, the high compression internal combustion engine, nuclear power plants, TV wastelands, and Universities which are not places of high education.

The enclosed article, Eco-catastrophe, is being sent to you to announce "The Rape of a Nation." (an eight screen slide show dealing with pollution and a disease caused by almost every facet of our society). This is a disease which will soon be fatal for each of us, yet we remain proudly ignorant of it.

The show will deal with the interrelationships of the problems of air, water, pesticides, population, education, communication, government, plant defoliation, mineral depletion, animal extinction, shelter, work, recreation, and transportation.

THE SHOW WILL RUN FROM FEBRAURY 16 through February 23 in the Purdue Memorial Library Lounge and will run from 1 to 5 pm every dat and one evening which will be announced. Shows will occur on the hour and the half hour.
