Dear Mr. Shimizu:

I'm sorry to be so late in answering your letter of December 22nd to Bob Rauschenberq; we had a flood in the gallery and much of our correspondence was, unfortunately, misplaced.
Your idea of showing his graphic work in your new gallery is a very good one, and I'll see if it is possible to get as large a number of the APOLLO 11 that is already in your possession. We also that it would be wonderful if you could exhibit in your main gallery, a certain number of Bob's so-called CARNAL CLOCKS. I had an exhibition of these in the spring of last year. They are rather heavy and relatively large, and the imagery is quite explicitly sexual, but I imagine that the Japanese public is as emancipated as the one in New York.
Enclosed are photographs, to give you an idea of what these works look like. Please let me know soon if you would be interested in handling them.

Kindest regards,

Leo Castelll
