Fortune presents an unusual opportunity to purchase an outstanding new work of art by Robert Rauschenberg
STAR QUARTERS is a major, new work by the renowned American artist, Robert Raushenberg. It is produced in a limited edition of 45 sets, signed and numbered by the artist. Each set consists of four units, ready for hanging, measuring 4 feet square. The artist describes this new effort as an attempt to produce in a limited original edition the substantial values of his single hand-screened paintings.
The subject matter of the work is the heavens, viewed during the four seasons. Various images--both realistic and abstract--have been silk-screened on both surfaces of mirror-coated plexiglass to create a multi-dimensional collage--with the viewer, himself, reflected in Rauschenberg's original images. 
The reputation of the artist and the size and concept of this series make it an exceptional event in the world of art. 
Star Quarters is being offered through Fortune in association with two of the most successful organizations in the contemporary art field---Multiples, Inc. and Castelli Graphics. Multiples is a publisher specializing in original edition art. Its publications have been purchased by numerous museums, corporations and individuals worldwide. Special pre-gallery price. The pre-gallery price of the complete work--the four units--is $7,000. It will later be offered on public sale for $8,000. Each of the four units may be purchased separately for $1,800. The gallery price for each unit will be $2,100. 
How to order. A reservation form is enclosed. Since the edition is limited, a $100 reservation deposit is required. The balance is payable upon confirmation of an available set and prior to shipment of the work. Orders for complete sets of the four units will have priority. An additional charge will be added to the purchase price for shipping, handling, and insurance.
