Sir,
The undersigned has been employed during the war as a Hospital Steward by the Medical Director of the Department of the East, and having been recently discharged, is desirous of obtaining employment in the Freedmens Beaureau if any vacant situation exists where he could be useful. The best references and certificates of good character can be furnished. Any information will be thankfully received at your convenience.
