Washington D.C. June 7 1865. Brig. Genl. L. Thomas Adj. Genl. U.S.A. General. By Special order No. 268. War Dept dated 31st ult. Pvt. Adelbert S. Frink 1st Minn. Battery was detailed as Clerk and ordered to report to Bvt. Col. W.T. Osborne Commissioner of Freedman of the State of Alabama. Since the date of said order the Battery as I am informed has been ordered to the state to be mustered out of service, and I have now the honor to solicit that Mr. Frink be ordered to rejoin the Battery, in order to be mustered out with his command. I have the honor to be General Your obt servt J.F. Stock Minn. Mil. State Agt.
