Mr Wm King has gone North, and will see Genl Howard and other distinguished Anti-slavery men, as I am informed.  He tried to have a meeting of the colored people, for the purpose of "harmonizing", but they did not see fit to second his movements He will no doubt propose many plans, and endeavor to have them more favorably considered than he apprehends they would have been if they had gone up through the regular channels. Mr King dislikes Mr Tiffany, and has complained of him many times to myself, and others, but I do not think he has any cause for complaint. The other day Mr Chapman, a friend of Mr King, living at Ogeechee, complained to Genl Brannan, and upon his sworn affidavit, declared that Mr Tiffany threatened to put a rope around his neck, &c.
