Mrs. McCoy's uncluttered style of writing, her sympathetic insights and extensive research have given her a unique place as a historian, and have over the years made her books [[strikethrough]] XXXXXXX [[/strikethrough]] items. She is the author of Five California Architects, Neutra, Modern [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] California Houses (reissued in 1978 as Case Study House 1945-1962) and Craig Ellwood--pioneering studies that have brought international attention to California architect[[strikethrough]][[/strikethrough]]s and architecture. Since 1969 Mrs. McCoy has been a contributing editor of Progressive [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] Architecture, and before that of Arts & Architecture, Zodiac and Lotus. Her writing has also appeared in Global Architecture, Journal of the Society of Architectural Historians, Domus, Perspecta, etc. She is an Honorary AIA and has a Distinguished Service citation [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] from the California Council of the AIA.
