A true son of Loos: the underuse of small space so exquisite Also a return to Art Deco
Candle shop one of first of the Greyhound bus school I know- the rounded corners- something like a Greek Cross plan. Inset cabs = ext with [[image]] brewing boxes at angle

A deep silence grips me when I drink the coffee at the Kaffee across from St Stephan's (Expresso St Stephan's) & the Nusse? torte (walnut cake). Hurried this pm, bought the H-T & Time & settled in on the terrace. So nice to drink coffe (forbidden) and only worth it if it is delectable- best other was airport in Guatemala.

Then passed Demels on Kohlmarkt & looked at rose leaves scattered to memory of Franz Josef & Napoleon in 2 windows & the wonderful wrappings in windows Hadn't a sou in my pocket. Spent my last on the coffee & walnut cake. But tomorrow.

Then to Michaelerpl. & saw what can only be the Loos bldg. The lobby with aperta marble of the highly patterned kind he loved- the sensuous bastard with all that talk of ornament = crème.
