In the conventional South you "need someone" anyway. (You've doubtless gathered as much) - - - - And so in return for your criticism, stimulation, guidance, and "Hell", I would provide companionship, moral support, comfort, ease and encouragement - - - - - Does this sound logical to you? Does it sound like a square level bargain? - - - It does to me..... But then, Spinky, I dont feel that either plain "bargains" or "logic" within themselves are either smart or adequate - there must, of necessity be "something else" when the lives and careers of two people are involved. - Call that "something else" what you will:- Attraction, affection, mutual understanding, appreciation, love or just plain "compatibility" - what you call it is unimportant - the thing that matters in that that "something else" be present.
