PROGRAM FOR MOSAIC TILE MURAL
in the 
GROUND FLOOR ENTRANCE LOBBY
in connection with
NEW 800 BED HOSPITAL AND EXPANSION OF FACILITIES 
of the 
HARLEM HOSPITAL
BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN
CITY OF NEW YORK 

I. PURPOSE 

The Artist, in collaboration with the Architect (Ferrenz & Taylor), shall develop the design of a mosaic tile mural in the Ground Floor Entrance Lobby of the New 800 Be Hospital at Harlem Hospital, Borough of Manhattan, City of New York. Design shall be subject to approval by the Commissioner and the Art Commission of the City of New York. 

II. SUBJECT

The subject matter, composition and style of execution are left to the Artist's choice and creative judgment. The mural shall be limited to one panel. It should be borne in mind that this is a public building, built with public funds and that the mural should be appropriate to the purpose for which the building serves. It should be esthetically worthy of general appreciation as well as harmonious in scale and treatment in its setting.

III. MATERIAL

Material for the mural shall be mosaic tile, in a panel of size and detail indicated on the Drawings and/or as specified. 

IV. FEE 

The Artist's fee is to be $7,000.00 for color sketches, full-size detail drawings with color indications, supervision of the assembly and execution of the design in the Mosaic Studio, and supervision of the installation of the mural at the job site, and
