Mr. Clyfford Still
c/o California School of Fine Arts
San Francisco, California

Dear Clyff:

I was terribly disappointed not to see you before you left. I got in about one o'clock Sunday night and called for you, which you may not have received.

You know how very eager I am to see your recent paintings. When I was in San Francisco, I looked up a good many of your students and disciples and saw their work, but alas I still have not seen your most recent paintings. I have been counting on it all through this trip and that is why I am writing now to ask you when you think you will get back and (if it is as late as the end of January as Douglas believes) whether you would be willing to let Eddie and me see the paintings in your studio, even if you are not there?

I hope you will have a swell time on this trip of yours. Do let me hear from you. Best as ever,

Sincerely,

Dorothy C. Miller
