ABRAHAM LINCOLN GALLERY..... Committee in charge: Philip Frankle, Paul Grubman, and Sarah K. Spiegel.

Dear Sir:
Abraham Lincoln Gallery's Third Invitation Exhibit of paintings by American artists will be held fro May 19 to June 20. Students, faculty and public will select the ten most popular paintings. Publicity adn school exercises have combined to make this a memorable occasion for the school and the community in the past, and this year's exhibit will be conducted on a wider scope. The Abraham Lincoln High School will purchase the work considered the most appropriate for the sum of one hundred dollars ($100), undoubtedly but a fraction of the painting's true worth.

Since the purchase exhibition is a modest but genuine attempt by the school to focus attention on contemporary art and to make its own students more art conscious, will you cooperate by:

1. returning the enclosed entry blank (post card) before May 5 to facilitate printing of the program; add, if possible, a glossy photograph for press release.

2. delivering the painting to the school between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., on May 12, 13, or 14, attention of Mr. Philip Frankle, director of the Gallery

3. communicating during the day with the school (ESplanade 2-5474); evenings call Mrs. Sarah K. Spiegel (NIghtingale 5-2652) for any other details.

Yours sincerely,
Leon Friend, Chairman
Art Department
