Dear Clyff:

I enjoyed your letter so much. Mr Hope from Indiana was just in. Having been away he had not yet recieved your letter. He returns to Indiana tonight and gives his lecture on thursday May 17th and I told him your letter would surely be there in response to his inquiry. He is a very nice guy and admires your work very much so I hope you weren't too tough on him.

I still have no idea where I will be this summer. However, Monica expects to be here and if you wish to get into the gallery she could help you. I will keep you posted where I will be at all times, hoping that we'll meet at some point.

Did you read Emily Genauer's article in the Tribune, Sunday, May 6th? It was a hot one! Barney's show continues to baffle and bewilder but it has also been enormously admired.

Mark seems well, and so is the gang.

Looking forward to your arrival, and Hunter is a fortunate College.

Much love,
