To Recipients of Red Cross Foreign Messages:

We are enclosing a message for you which we have received through the International Red Cross. We feel sure that you will want to reply. May we invite you to come to our office bringing your message with you, in order that we may best assist you. Please come between 9 and 4 on week days and between 9 and 3 on Saturdays. There is no charge for this service.

If it is not possible to come to our office, be sure to follow these instructions carefully. First print your reply on the sheet attached to your message. Your reply may not be longer than 25 words and must conform to the censorship regulations listed. If you reply in a foreign language, be sure to include the English translation. It is imperative that you return the original message to us, because we must enter your reply on the back. However, do not write anything on this message form except your signature as we will type your reply above your signature when we have checked to make sure that all the regulations have been met. Be sure you send us your present address.

If your message is from the section of Italy which the Allies have occupied, you may now write through the regular mail, so we are unable to forward a message for you. In addition to forwarding replies to any messages you receive, we are glad to originate one message to a close relative every three months. May we again invite you to come to our office if you have any questions.
