The "idea" has been discussed among a few credible community folks and they have said "it sounds great." The idea is to use the upcoming Black Art Presentation as the catalyst which will set the tone for others. We already have another major arts production in the planning stage. The theme of the August 16th production is Sound, Rhythm and Color; and some of the beautiful things we want to accomplish is to bring a new dignity to this symbolic community in the State of Minnesota and all of its beauty. Distinguished artists such as N.C.A. members and A F of M and others in Dance, Drama, Speech, etc. should be encouraged to focus attention on Saint Paul Minnesota and when we feel the outside attention will make Black Art Products in the Twin cities more meaningful and not end up 100% totally pre-empted, plagerized [[plagiarized]] by the adversary. The game here is for the powers that be to use you and they in turn take full credit for your ideas. Briefly, as a recap, we have planned to use the August 16th program as a catalyst to eventually operate and control a total Black Arts Production in the manner of the big "Productions" that used to be staged at the Regal Theater in the Fuller Building some time back. Where Chicago residents could always see nationally and internationally known Black Artists perform; we, in Saint Paul, plan to achieve this caliber of artistry by utilising [[utilizing]] material available in the Twin Cities, whereas the Minnesota Museum, the Art and Science Center, and the Chimera Theater in Saint Paul; the Walker Art Center, Cuthrie Theater and other public art outlets represent the so-called national Criteria in drama, music, visual and plastic arts etc. the Black neighborhood and grass roots are represented superficially and the same continues to go on. We are moving ahead with our plans in a confident, forward direction. I will close at this time. Please find photos, resume and paper clippings on your past visit. We, the residents of the Summit University community, thank you again. Sincerely, Kush Bey Kush Bey cc: Hon. Min. Wallace D.
