Re: Serra Sculpture Show
Castelli Gallery
142 Greene St., N.Y.C.
#8712

Dear Mr. Pozzi:

In response to your request, this is to inform you that I have made a structural analysis of the loads that will be imposed on the first floor of the 142 Greene Street building during the installation and showing of the Richard Serra steel plate sculpture show. The analysis indicates that with the shoring that has been installed in the cellar to reinforce the first floor, the loads to be sustained are within safe limits and in accordance with the N.Y.C. Building Code.

The installation contractor, Ray La Chapelle & Sons has full insurance coverage for personal liability and property damage to cover their work during the installation. A copy can be furnished upon request.

Any cosmetic damage that may be caused by the installation of the shoring in the cellar will be repaired by the Castelli Gallery after the shoring has been removed.

Very truly yours,
