Dear Mr. Reid:

You were so good to let us have your pictures. "Living with them" for three weeks was a great experience for our students, who showed a surprising amount of interest, curiosity and surrender to their mystery and beauty.

I am also most appreciative of the warmth and grace of your participation in the Black Week art show and reception. Your personal appearance there at once supported and endorsed the really great concept our black students were implementing of their own resources and capalility.

Still further, I want to thank you for a certain deepened emotional insight which I feel accrued to me through our quiet conversation over lunch.

It is our hope down here - at Baruch - and certainly would be our pleasure that you will keep in touch with us for some future collaboration.

Yours sincerely,
