Dear Mr. Reid:

I have just read your letter to Miss Scheidt - thank you for replying so promptly.

The mural project about which Miss Scheidt wrote you is actually a number of murals to be executed by fairly well known artists. Two of our artists have already been selected by the consultant for this project. Naturally, it is very difficult to tell from slides and a few catalogs exactly what your work is like and if it would be suitable to propose. If the idea is of interest to you, would you be willing to send two or three representative canvases for us to show to the art consultant? It would be helpful too if you would send us complete biographical material. It is too bad I can't work in a trip to New York before leaving for Greece the first of May, but it is just impossible.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Sally H. Fairweather
