Dear Bob Reid:

Thank you for sending us an announcement of your exhibition at Alonzo Gallery. Sally and I hope to be in New York before March 11, and look forward to stopping by to see it. In the meantime, all of our very best wishes for a successful show!

We just received a letter from Johnson Publishing Company in which Mr. Herbert Temple, director of their art selection committee, said that "due to budgetary limitations it was impossible to accept many very desirable pieces". However, they plan to continue adding to their collection, and would like to hear from us from time to time. For now it's their loss, as you said.

Your slides are enclosed. We enjoyed seeing them - your paintings look good!

Sincerely,

Shirley
