Dupont Circle Building

Dear Amanda:

In accordance with your request to have me sign the Arrow, Inc. checks, which are blank, I am herewith returning checks No. 84 to 90, inclusive, ready for your use.

Under separate cover, I am also sending you cards completed by me for individuals who have gotten membership by me. I have issued receipts and membership cards, so all you will need to do is file the cards in our membership file and mail each subscriber or member a copy of the June issue of the Bullettin [[Bulletin]] . I have seen the June issue, I think you have done a nice job.

My travels are so much in haste and my time taken up by personal interruptions by the Indians, I am absolutely unable to do any correspondence. However, I feel a sense of pride that we are able to make personal contacts with these Indians. One council member of the Northern Cheyenne Council today told me that my contact and talk with the council was like a shot of medicine into the arm of the council. He was indeed thankful to know that NCAI was interested in the Cheyenne affairs and that there were Indians concerned in the general welfare of the Indians over the entire country.

As soon as I finish this letter, I am making a report of my latest victory and my carbon to office will bring you and others up-to-date on my progress.

Warm regards to you. Please take the membership cards directly to St. Paul where I can pick them, that is, if you have not already mailed them.

Sincerely,

John C. Rainer
