Miss Helen Peterson
Executive Secretary, NCAI
1640 East Virginia Avenue
Denver, Colorado

Dear Miss Peterson:

I called Jim Hayes today and he gave me your Denver address, and I decided to write you a note and bring you up-to-date on your recordings, etc.

The eight reels of 1200` tape are packaged, ready to mail to you. We have been requested to withhold any package material from the mails until after the holiday rush. I am therefore delaying this shipment until December 24, at which time these recordings will go forward to you at Denver.

We have completed transcribing the Yellowtail speech and are currently engaged in cutting the stencils. As soon as they are finished, they will go forward. This speech will be approximately 14 pages long.

Mr. Hayes indicated you may come to Tucson for the Symposium on Indian Affairs. In the event you do, I will probably see you there on the 30th, as I plan to be in Tucson that day.

Sincerely yours,
Walter J. Knodel
