Ritter Esq Nathan Agt B.R.F. & A.L.
Charleston, S.C.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 16th inst satisfying me of the death of Cap't Henry Reddic late of Co C 35th U.S.C.T. There must be some mistake about it, as a man representing himself to be Henry Reddick, late of Co C 35th Regt has called at this office for his bounty and has be identified by several men of the 35th army of whom is "Henry Reddick" who was a Serg't in "C". I have written to Gen Balloch about this affair and am now awaiting his answer. The draft for "Reddick" and more is still in my possession.

Very Respectfully
Your Obedient Servant.
