public sentiment in East Tenn. during the present vacation of the Legislature. He will use his entire influence in favor of the measure. I am quite sure that the Congressional Delegation from Tenn. might remove quite an obstacle form their pathway to seats in the National Council were they to use their influence with their constituents, in behalf of seats in Court for the Freedmen of Tenn.

No other measures are pending in the Tenn Legislature touching the Freedmen. The Legislature of Kentucky have recently convened and have done nothing relating to the colored man
