AN ACT
To prevent trespassing.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate
2 and the House of Representatives of the State of
3 Louisiana in General Assembly convened,
4 That whosoever shall enter upon any
5 plantation without the permission of the 
6 owner or agent, shall be deemed guilty
7 of a misdemeanor, and shall be liable to
8 be arrested and brought before any 
9 Court of competent jurisdiction; and, 
10 upon proof of the fact, shall be fined in a 
11 sum not exceeding one hundred dollars,
12 or imprisonment for a term not exceed-
13 ing one month; and may, moreover, be
14 required to give bond for good behavior
15 during six months.

Sec. 2. Be it further enacted, &c., That
2 all laws, or parts of laws, contrary to the
3 provisions of this Act, be, and the same
4 are, hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. Be it further enacted, &c., That
2 this Act shall take effect from and after
3 its passage.
