Inclosed please find requisition for two office desks, six office chairs, one coal hod, one coal shovel, & one broom.  I sent the requisition to the A.Q.M. at Springfield as he told me to, but he has returned it saying, that on looking over his orders, he cannot furnish them to me, until my requisition is approved by Gen. Howard, and an order issued by the Sec of War for the same, and sends me copy of Gen. Order No 49 [[strikethrough]] 94 [[/strikethrough]] Quartermaster General's Dept. Wash. D.C. dated Aug. 21t 1866.  

I send them to you for approval and forwarding.  I also send another requisition for Stationary.  I forgot in my other, two inkstands, two rulers, two indiarubber erasers, and four lead pencils.  I hope to obtain an office this week.  It has been almost an impossibility to find one. I also inclose a requisition for fuel, I
