As to the recent transfer of the administration of Justice from the Freedmen courts to the civil authorities, no general conclusion can be drawn, since in some localities the plan works well and in others badly, according to the views and feelings of the officials, and the public sentiment around there. In Yazoo County, with good officers, and sub com'rs it seems to work well, tho at Vaughns Station in the eastern party of the County, the authorities seem to take little or no interest in justice to this class.
