I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of the President's Warrant of Pardon which never came into my hands until within the last three days, having date twenty sixth October, 1865, and hereby signify my acceptance of the same, with all the conditions therein specified.

Nelson, Knoxville Tennessee who is my Attorney in the Federal Court at this place.  This is necessary to my defence in a prosecution for treason and an Information pending against my property.
