I have had a few ideals regarding Chicano Art that I wrote in October 71.

[[left margin]] I agree with Mel - we haven't been born yet [[/left margin]]
Chicano Renaissance: A reawakening within the barrios in search of an idenity [[identity]] through the re-examination of past and present events which have involved and presently involve the Chicano to create the present existing problems, and to relate these events & problems through the application of various art medias for [[strikethrough]] the awareness o [[/strikethrough]] public awareness.

We have been purposely alieneated [[alienated]] from both the American and Mexican culture and [[strikethrough]] by the same token [[/strikethrough]]in Mexico are not accepted by the Mexican people. Thus, we're trapped in a social prison.

One might agree that everyone in the world (whites, reds, blacks, yellows, browns) [[strikethrough]] all [[/strikethrough]] are all in a prison (personal problems, etc). but those who understand it sufer [[suffer]] the most. Chicanos understand their social prison.
