Jan 19th Respectfully returned to Col Whittlesey "Approved" MW A.A.G Rec'd back Feby 10th 1866 - With the information that GO #147 only authorizes the transfer of stores "unfit for issue". but that the Dept Comdr might be induced to order the issue, which is so much needed. Requests transportation in some way for use of Bureau at Beaufort SC. Feb 10th Refered to Dr C W Hornor. Rec'd back Feby 11t with recommendation that means of transportation be furnished if possible &c &c. |

With the application approved. | Dec 14th 1865 Respectfully returned to Col Whittlesey Asst Comr upon the muster out of this officers Regiment even though he had been assigned to duty according to his Bvt Genl, he would have to go out of the service with his Command. it is not considered advisable to request the detention of his services. therefor no [[strikethrough]] application [[/strikethrough]] action can be taken on this application. Respectfully forwarded to QMG with the request that instructions be issued to the Post QM at Newbern which will enable the officers on duty in his Bureau to draw from him the allowance of fuel and forage they are entitled to by Army Regulations OOH. |
