Dear Mrs. Abel:

Many thanks for sending us the set of photographs of your father's status on the Saint Paul Building. We are very happy to have them. If you do not succeed in get getting duplicate prints from the Western Electric Company, we shall be glad to have them copied by our photographer so that we may both have copies of them on file.

I do hope that these splendid examples of your father's early work can be saved. The suggestion that they might be used in a [[strikethrough]] statue [[/strikethrough]] fountain to be erected at Lincoln's Square or, failing that, at Idlewild I think is an excellent one, but this would have to be worked through Mr. Robert Moses and The Park Department. The preliminary sketch seemed excellent and I hope that the plan can be worked out satisfactorily.

                           Sincerely yours,
                              Revs Vail
