The event of to day was the meeting with Onkel Wenzel and Tante Pulchliec (Tante Pushlav). There was a feud on between Mr. Rittens and the Onkels and diplomatic relation were exceedingly strained, hence it happened that I had not seen them before this. So today I went on my own accord, though with fathers blessing and refrigerated greetings to see the Pushlavs.

Hastily I armed myself with roses and a box of good cigars and went to Wielangasse 21. The reconoitering was most successful and auspicious.
